The Adventures of Rugged Baby

Cataloguing our adventures with the baby! Summit log, photos, then hike log.

Photos before November 2024 shot with a Canon EOS R with an EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM or EF 24–105mm f/4L IS II USM.

Photos starting November 2024 taken with a Canon EOS R5 with one of the above two lenses, or more likely a RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM or if the shot looks really compressed or telephoto-y, it’s probably a EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6l IS II USM.

1.5 Year Mark - Analysis

I spend quite a bit of time doing more complex AI projects for work-related things, so I decided it would be interesting to give it my very detailed raw hike log data and see what insights came out. Here are the insights it pulled from the data. Commenting is enabled, and I’d love to hear any tips you might have if you’re an outdoorsy parent!

Hike Log

Most recent hikes at the top. Difficult rating is calibrated for the average American hiker, roughly approximating All Trails’ rating calibration. Also, infants who can’t walk also can’t hike, so this is more a log of the adventures he’s been a passenger on.
